This was a standard in our house when I was a kid, and it still is today. It is a quick and easy dinner and allows you to please everyone. Also a great way to get kids involved in prepping dinner. Put a salad on the side and you have an easy, quick, tasty meal!
Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
Place pita on a cookie sheet or pizza stone. Spread as much or as little pizza sauce as you like (you could also opt out of sauce and use olive oil instead). Sprinkle cheese on top.
Add whatever toppings you like (see examples below)!
Bake for 10 to 15 minutes or until cheese is melted and bread is crispy enough for you. (Experiment.)
Some favorite combos are:
Turkey pepperoni, mushrooms and garlic
Mushrooms and goat cheese
Just cheese
For a dessert pizza:
Figs, goat cheese and balsamic reduction
