Oven-baked chicken that crisps and tastes just like the fried stuff!
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
2. In a small bowl, combine butter, mustard, leaf herb and salt. Mix well.
3. Wash chicken pieces and set aside. Dry the skin side with paper towels.
4. Spread butter mixture on the skin side of the chicken pieces.
5. On a piece of waxed paper, spread out bread crumbs and roll chicken in the crumb mixture. Pat crumbs gently onto all sides of chicken.
6. Place chicken, skin side up, in a baking pan. Bake in the preheated oven for time indicated below:
For a broiler, cut up: 50 to 55 minutes
For breasts: 50 to 55 minutes
For drumsticks or thighs: 45 to 50 minutes
For chicken wings: 35 to 40 minutes
When done, chicken should be brown and tender. Juices should run clear.

Will for sure make it again! Thanks for a great recipe!

I always wanted a recipe like this because I like fried chicken but I hate the mess of frying stuff. So I made this last night. I used drumsticks. It was easy and delicious!!!!!! Thanks for sharing!!

Oh my word this is DELICIOUS!!!!!!!! I used chicken thighs and my 2 1/2 year old ate a whole thigh and a half of another. I printed this recipe and handed out to all of my co-workers. They all had plate envy at lunch! I will definitely make this over and over!
