Penne pasta covered in creamy cheese sauce, just like your favorite restaurant. Only three basic ingredients. Anyone can make this and look like a star. Just some pasta, a block of processed cheese and cream. Easy peasy pasta and cheesy.
1)Prepare pasta according to directions on package. Drain.
2) In a saucepan on med/low heat, pour cream and heat until just before it simmers. Keep it stirred and be careful not to let it burn.
3) Stir cheese into warm cream a little at a time, until all cheese is mixed in and melted. Keep stirring. You may add more cream or more cheese, depending on whether you like it cheesier or creamier.
4) Pasta should be in a bowl big enough to stir in the cheese sauce. It gets thicker the longer it sits. It’s real smooth when first poured over pasta. Deeelish!

This was good and super easy to make. I didn’t have 2 cups of Velveeta, only about 1 cup. So I used that, then another leftover cup of Velveeta from a couple days earlier that had some ro-tel tomatoes and a little Tabasco in it. It gave it just the right kick and we really liked it.

maybe i should clarify my answer to the pasta size. It can be adjusted but i usually use Barilla 12 oz.

this recipe can be used with any size penne pasta. Whatever
your preference is. it’s very versatile. sometimes i add broccoli to make me feel better about the cheese.

Ohh this makes me miss Velveeta! I never thought I’d say that! They don’t have anything like it in Holland either. Darn.

Sounds good! Our grocery store sells 3 different sizes of penne – 8 oz., 12 oz. and 16 oz. Which one should I use?
