Description

These individual pizzas are sure to please any palate…picky or sophisticated. Naan is traditional Indian flatbread. In this recipe, it is used as pizza crust. Load it with your favorite toppings for a quick and easy meal.

Ingredients

  • 2 pieces Naan (found In Your Grocery Deli Section)
  • 1 Tablespoon Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • ½ cups Pizza Sauce
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheese - Monterey Jack Or Mozzarella
  • 1 cup Favorite Pizza Toppings (Pepperoni, Cooked Sausage, Veggies, Fresh Basil, Pineapple, Etc.)

Preparation

Heat oven to 400°F.

Place naan on a cookie sheet and brush lightly with olive oil. Add sauce, cheese, and toppings.

Place the cookie sheet on the center rack and bake for 15 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool for 2-3 minutes before cutting and serving.

When we have a family gathering, this is an easy way to let people make their own pizzas. I have a variety of toppings, then we grill them (about 5 minutes). It is always a hit!

This is a very quick and tasty lunch recipe! I tried a supreme version of this pizza with chicken. The naan bread results in a chewy, crispy crust that is very good. I would definitely use this method again! Thanks!
