The best dang Sunday Pork Roast you’ll ever eat. It’s traditional Sunday fare with a very untraditional twist. It makes a lovely sweet and sour “gravy” to pour over the taters. My husband thinks he’s in heaven when he eats this.
Combine sugar, salt, honey, soy sauce, broth, vinegar, and water. Place roast in a large Ziploc bag and pour sauce over the meat and let marinate for at least 1 hour. (I’ve done it overnight, too.) Place roast and marinade in a roasting pan and cover. Bake in a 350 F oven for 2 1/2 -3 hours. Baste with sauce if you have time. Sometimes I do, sometimes I don’t. The roast will be a darker brown than you’re accustomed to, but that’s ok. Take the roast out and allow to rest for a few minutes. Cut and serve. I save the drippings and thicken to make a gravy. Serve with boiled red potatoes. YUMMY!

This roast was soooooo good! It ended up marinating for 2 days in the fridge, and turned out great! I didn’t make the gravy, and we had it with rice, veggies, and some sweet chili sauce. Yum!

This was amazing! I made a bigger roast hoping for leftovers….but there were none!
