Description

What’s in a name? This is a quick and easy pasta dish that’s quite delicious!

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces, weight Penne Pasta
  • 1 jar Prepared Pesto Sauce (8 Oz Jar)
  • 1 whole Medium Onion, Minced
  • 4 cloves Garlic, Minced
  • 2 cans Northern Beans (15 Oz Cans), Drained And Rinsed
  • 1 cup Vegetable Broth
  • Salt And Pepper, to taste
  • Parmesan Cheese, If Desired

Preparation

1. Cook pasta according to package instructions then drain it and set aside.

2. While pasta cooks, pour the oil from the pesto jar (should be about 2 tablespoons) into a saute pan. Heat over medium heat. Once oil is heated add onions and garlic and saute until onions are transparent.

3. Add beans, vegetable broth, and pesto and heat through (about 5 minutes).

4. Add salt and pepper to taste.

5. Mix in pasta and serve with Parmesan cheese if desired.
