Description

This was one of my favorite things my mama always made for me. This is her recipe and it’s good, but it still never tastes as good as it did when she made it for me.

Ingredients

  • 2 whole Sweet Yellow Onions
  • 2 whole Green Bell Peppers
  • 2 cloves Fresh Garlic
  • 2 pounds Ground Chuck (80/20)
  • 2 cups Water
  • ¾ cups Ketchup
  • 2 cans (6 Oz. Size) Tomato Paste
  • 2 Tablespoons White Granulated Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Chili Powder
  • 2 teaspoons Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons Salt

Preparation

Finely chop onions and bell peppers and mince garlic. Combine with the beef and cook until beef is browned. Once beef is done, stir in remaining ingredients. Simmer about 1 hour for best flavor.

This is not your typical Italian-style spaghetti, but one that everyone always raved about it when she prepared it.

Serve with pasta, a crisp salad and garlic bread for a memorable meal that brings comfort to the table.
