A little taste of Louisiana. This is my mother-in-law’s recipe and it makes my husband’s stomach very happy to have a little taste of home. Very easy and you can easily change up the meat that you add (or use tofu for that matter) to make it yours.
How easy is this …
Place ingredients in a 3-qt. pot. Cover tightly and simmer on low for 30 minutes. You can of course change the spiciness to your liking, plus if you don’t like smoked sausage, add chicken, or shirimp, or both. How crazy is that?
