Description

Grilled Hotdog Sandwich

Ingredients

  • 4 whole All Beef Bun Size Franks
  • 1 whole Medium Onion, Sliced, Grilled In Pan
  • 4 slices Rye Bread
  • 2 Tablespoons Butter
  • 2 Tablespoons Spicy Brown Mustard
  • 4 slices Pepper Jack Cheese

Preparation

Heat grill pan to medium-high. Slice hotdogs halfway through and flatten to open up. Grill the hotdogs in pan until browned and heated through with grill marks visible. Remove from pan. Grill the onions, remove from pan and pull apart. Turn pan to medium heat.

Begin to assemble sandwich by buttering the outside of four slices of rye bread. Put two slices in the heated pan, butter side down. Spread 1/4 of the mustard on each slice of bread (the non-buttered side). Then place two grilled dogs, opened up, on each slice of bread, lengthwise. Top with two slices of Pepper Jack cheese, more mustard, grilled onions, and top with next slice of bread, buttered side up. Grill sandwich on both sides, cut in half, only for neatness sake, and serve up hot and toasty!!
