Whole wheat homemade pita pizza topped with mozzarella, pepperoni and basil.
Preheat oven to 450ºF. If you are using a pizza stone, place in oven while it is preheating.
Lay out your pitas and ladle 2 tablespoons sauce on each pita, leaving room for crust. Top with mozzarella (1/4 cup cheese on each pizza) and pepperoni (3 slices each). Cook pizza for 10 minutes or until golden brown. Top with fresh basil and enjoy.
Note: I prefer the taste of deli pepperoni but any other pepperoni substitute will do.
