Description

Whether you’re serving them for a weeknight meal, a Sunday picnic, or a game day party, these Hawaiian teriyaki burgers are simple, delicious and on the table in under 30 minutes!

Ingredients

  • FOR THE SAUCE:
  • 1 cup Soy Sauce
  • ⅔ cups Granulated Sugar
  • ¼ cups Pineapple Juice
  • 2 Tablespoons Bourbon
  • ½ teaspoons Ginger Paste
  • 2 cloves Garlic, Mashed Into A Paste
  • FOR THE BURGERS:
  • 1 pound Ground Beef, Seasoned And Formed Into 4 Equal-sized Patties
  • 4 slices Muenster Cheese
  • 4  Green Leaf Lettuce Leaves
  • 4 slices Pineapple
  • 8 slices Bacon, Cooked Until Crisp
  • 1  Avocado (peeled, Pitted And Sliced)
  • 4  Brioche Buns, Lightly Toasted
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame Seeds

Preparation

Add all ingredients for the Hawaiian teriyaki sauce in a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Stir frequently until sugar has dissolved. Remove from heat and set aside to cool. Store in an airtight container for 2 weeks.

Heat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Spray with a nonstick spray, and add the burgers. Cook for about 4 minutes on each side for medium-rare. Melt the cheese on the burgers for the last 2 minutes of cooking time. Remove from heat and set aside to rest.

Assemble burgers by layering the burger patties, lettuce, pineapple, bacon and avocado on toasted buns. Drizzle with Hawaiian teriyaki sauce and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Enjoy immediately!
