Description

A simple classic supper my mom used to make. It tastes so good!

Ingredients

  • FOR THE CRUST:
  • 2 cups All-purpose Flour
  • 4 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • ½ teaspoons Salt
  • ⅓ cups Canola Oil
  • ⅔ cups Milk
  • FOR THE FILLING:
  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • 1 can (10.75 Oz. Size) Tomato Rice Soup
  • 2 Tablespoons Water
  • 1 clove Garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ½ teaspoons Pepper
  • 1 cup Grated Cheddar Cheese

Preparation

First heat your oven to 375ºF. Grease a glass pie plate.

Start by making the crust. Mix together the flour, baking powder, salt, oil and milk until it forms a ball. Press the crust into the greased pie plate.

Next make the filling. Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium high heat. Once it is cooked through, add in the soup, water, minced garlic and salt and pepper. Bring mixture to a simmer for a about 5 minutes until thickened.

Pour the hamburger mixture into the crust and sprinkle with the grated cheese. Bake for 20 minutes, or until the biscuit crust is browned and the cheese is melted.

Serve with a green salad. A classic supper!
