Description

Soy and honey glazed pork chops grilled to perfection!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Pork Chops (bone In, 1inch Thick)
  • 4 Tablespoons Soy Sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon Honey
  • ½ Tablespoons Sesame Oil
  • 2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
  • 3 cloves Garlic, Smashed
  • ½ teaspoons Red Pepper Flakes
  • ½ whole Lemon, Juiced
  • Cilantro For Garnish

Preparation

Place everything besides the pork chops and cilantro in a bowl. Mix well until sugar is dissolved. This will be your marinade. Add your pork chops into a Ziploc bag and pour the marinade on top. Seal, and let it sit in the fridge for 1 hour.

Remove pork chops from bag and add leftover marinade to a pot. Set the chops aside on a plate. Bring the marinade to a complete boil for about 4 minutes so all bacteria that was released from the raw pork chops is eliminated. Stir constantly to prevent from sticking. This will act as your basting sauce.

Heat a skillet on medium high, until very hot and add your pork chops. Grill on the first side for 3 minutes and then flip over. Brush some of the sauce on using a basting brush and allow the other side to cook for an additional 3 minutes. Flip back over and apply the sauce to the other side as well. Cook until pork reaches an internal temperature of 145 F then remove from heat. Be sure to cut into your pork chop for desired done-ness

Serve over rice and top with some cilantro leaves and enjoy!
