Description

Asian-ish salmon—SUPER simple and no “fishy” taste!

Ingredients

  • 2 whole Salmon Fillets, Fresh Or Thawed
  • ⅓ cups Low Sodium Soy Sauce
  • ½ cups Brown Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Minced Garlic
  • 1 cup Jasmine Rice

Preparation

For grilling:
1. Mix soy sauce, brown sugar, and garlic together and marinate salmon for 10 minutes or more.
2. Grill, brushing some of the marinade over the salmon occasioanally for a nice glaze.

OR for baking:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Mix soy sauce, brown sugar, and garlic together and marinate salmon for 10 minutes or more in an oven safe dish (I use pyrex). Make sure salmon is COMPLETELY thawed. Do not let it thaw in the marinade. That’s just gross and it will probably taste fishy.
3. Cover with foil and place salmon in the oven. Cook covered for 5 minutes and then remove, flip salmon, and cook, UN-covered for another 5-7 minutes, or until salmon is flaky and cooked through.

Jasmine rice:
1. Begin boiling water for jasmine rice and cook according to package instructions.

Note: this is much better grilled.
