Description

A quick and easy way to prepare salmon. Can be done in the oven or on the grill. Can easily be done with fresh or dried ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Salmon Fillet
  • ⅛ cups White Wine
  • 1 clove Garlic, Diced
  • ¼ teaspoons Dill
  • 1 dash Salt And Pepper, to taste
  • ½ sticks Butter (regular Or Garlic Butter)

Preparation

Preheat oven to 375F

On a large sheet of foil, place the salmon fillet.

Drizzle with wine and sprinkle with garlic, dill and salt & pepper. (If you have a favourite seasoning mix you can use this instead. You can also use fresh or dried dill or other herbs. Omit the garlic if you are using garlic butter – or keep it in if you really, really like garlic! In which case – add more if that’s what turns your crank!!)

If you’ve got it, drizzle with a dash of lemon juice (you can also top the fillet with thin lemon slices and sprigs of fresh dill – again, if you’ve got them…)

Cut the 1/2 stick of butter into small pats and dot the top of the salmon fillet with these pieces of butter.

Bring the sides of the foil up and cover the fish.
sometimes the liquid bubbles up and out, so place your foil packet on a baking sheet to contain the mess.

Pop into the oven and bake for approx. 20 minutes or until the fish is opaque and easily flaked with a fork.

Yum! I added a couple more cloves of garlic (I love garlic!), used a little less butter and added some diced shallots! ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! We will definitely be making this again!

This was really good and really easy. I added chives at the last minute, because I had them mostly. I served it with a Rutherfield Ranch chardonnay, which paried nicely.
