Description

Super juicy, thick and spicy turkey burgers with a cool and creamy feta sauce. You need it!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground Turkey (as Un-lean As Possible, I Use 85%)
  • 1 whole Large Egg, Beaten
  • ¼ teaspoons Cayenne Pepper, More Or Less To Taste
  • ½ teaspoons Dried Oregano Leaves
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika
  • ½ teaspoons Dried Onion Powder
  • ¼ teaspoons Black Pepper
  • 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 3 whole Burger Buns (I Used Onion-flecked Buns)
  • Lettuce, For Serving
  • Tomatoes, For Serving
  • Onions, For Serving
  • FOR THE FETA SAUCE:
  • ½ cups Crumbled Feta Cheese
  • ¼ cups Heavy Cream
  • Dash Of Cayenne

Preparation

In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, egg, and spices. Mix well with your hands. Shape the meat into 3 patties, making sure to make a divot in the center of each to account for expanding during cooking.

Preheat the grill to medium-high. Dip a paper towel in the olive oil and grease the grates of the grill once hot. You should be able to hold your hand 6″ from the surface of the grates for no more than 5 seconds before proceeding. When hot, place the burger patties on the grill, and close the lid.

Cook the burgers for 5 minutes on each side, or until they register 165ºF internally. Remove from heat and cover until serving.

Meanwhile, stir together the feta, cream, and cayenne for the feta sauce.

Slice the burger buns, and serve each patty on top. Garnish with lettuce, tomatoes, onion, and creamy feta sauce as desired.

This recipe is delicious! I loved the flavor of the turkey burgers, the smoked paprika really stood out. My husband (who isn’t the biggest turkey burger fan) ended up eating 3! The cool feta sauce complimented the dish perfectly. Thank you for sharing this recipe, I will be making this one again and again! :)
