Description

This creamy dish is perfect with its mini farfalle topped with fresh chopped basil.

Ingredients

  • ½ pounds Mini Farfalle Pasta
  • 6 Tablespoons Butter
  • ½ whole Yellow Onion, Chopped
  • 2 bulbs Garlic, Chopped
  • 2 cans (14 Oz. Can) Diced Tomatoes With Italian Herb
  • 1 can (8 Oz. Can) Tomato Sauce
  • 2 teaspoons Salt, Or To Taste
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper
  • ½ teaspoons Sugar (to Cut Acidity)
  • 1 cup Whipping Cream
  • ½ packages (2/3 Oz. Package) Fresh Basil Leaves

Preparation

Boil pasta in 6-8 cups of water. Drain and set aside.

Melt butter in a skillet and add chopped onion and garlic, saute until tender. Add cans of diced tomatoes and tomato sauce and mix well. Mix in the salt, pepper and sugar and simmer for 20 minutes. Pour cream into the sauce and combine until nice and creamy. Simmer additional 5-10 minutes. Loosely chop up about half a package of fresh basil leaves.

Combine sauce and pasta and serve topped with fresh basil.

2 bulbs of garlic or 2 cloves? Seems like alot of garlic.
