Description

Manicotti stuffed with string cheese- easy and delicious!

Ingredients

  • 1-½ pound Ground Beef Or Turkey
  • ½ whole Onion, Diced
  • 1 clove Minced Garlic Or More To Taste
  • Optional Spices, To Taste (black Pepper, Italian Seasoning, Montreal Steak Seasoning)
  • 1 box Manicotti Shells (14 Shells)
  • 1 jar Spaghetti/marinara Sauce Of Your Choice (24-25oz)
  • 1 can Tomato Sauce (8 Oz)
  • 14 pieces String Cheese (28g Each)
  • 2 cups Shredded Mozzarella

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 1: Over medium heat, brown meat with onion and garlic until browned (add spices to your preference, I add Montreal steak seasoning, pepper, Italian seasoning, etc). Once browned, drain grease if necessary.
Step 2: Boil water for manicotti.
Step 3: Add the jar of marinara sauce to meat (add tomato sauce as well, if needed) and let simmer on low while your noodles cook.
Step 4: Cook manicotti according to package directions for 6 minutes- you want it to be very al dente so it doesn’t fall apart as you stuff it.
Step 5: Place half of the meat sauce in the bottom of a 9×13 pan.
Step 6: Stuff each manicotti shell with a piece of string cheese and place it in pan on top of meat sauce in the pan.
Step 7: Cover the shells with remaining meat sauce and shredded mozzarella.

Bake for 35-40 minutes.
