Fast, cheap and easy—not usually admirable qualities, but in this case, it works!
Preheat oven to 350 F.
Prepare glaze by mixing ketchup, honey, soy sauce and garlic powder together in a small bowl; set aside.
Prepare chicken by trimming, rinsing and drying the pieces. Place a large cooling rack on a shallow rimmed sheet pan. Season chicken pieces well with kosher salt and pepper; place on rack, presentation side up. Brush with glaze and bake for a total of 45 minutes; brushing an additional light layer of glaze every 15 minutes. Garnish with sliced scallions. Enjoy!

This was really good! I made it for my family tonight and everyone liked it. We live overseas and don’t have access to a grill, so it reminded us of BBQ off the grill, but with an Asian twist. We will be making this often.
*I did add a few pinches of ground ginger after tasting the sauce. It added even more of an Asian flavor.
