A family favorite. We eat this without the buns (low carb!), but it would be equally delicious with lettuce and bun. All ingredients are chopped up and thrown in with the ground turkey.
Combine the ground turkey, seasoning, shallots, mustard, mushrooms, cheese, salt and pepper, and a drizzle of olive oil. Form into 6 patties.
Heat 3 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. When hot, cook the patties, flipping over to brown on both sides. Just a few minutes on each side should do it.
Serve while hot!
*We eat this without the buns, it’s lighter and healthier, but would be delicious with hamburger buns and dressed however you like your burgers.
*If you do not have poultry seasoning use 1 1/2 teaspoons of dried sage, 1/2 teaspoon of marjoram and 1/2 teaspoon of thyme and 1/4 teaspoon of ground pepper.
