This recipe is Simply Delicious. It is easy to make and can be made with water or beer. Using beer gives a good flavor to the pizza crust.
Mix water, sugar, and yeast in a bowl. Let yeast rise for at least 15 minutes.
Add: salt, and vegetable oil and stir. Add any other seasonings as desired. Then add flour and mix.
Knead on a floured surface until dough is not sticky anymore but still feels moist. Cover and let rise in a warm place for at least 30 minutes. Roll on a floured surface and put on a lightly greased pan.
Add toppings and cook at 425F for 10-20 minutes (depending on your oven). The crust is cooked when the bottom starts to brown.
Enjoy!

This is our absolute favorite pizza dough, we eat it once a week. I use whole wheat as well, haven’t tried making it with beer yet–but it sounds delicious! I love to add Italian seasoning to the dough. This works great for calzones too! Oh, and I bake it in a cast iron so it gets a nice crispy bottom (but the rest of the crust is soft and warm). YUM! Thanks Starbecks!

Hi dixielee, try using Guinness. The last time I made this pizza dough, I topped it with blackened chicken, bacon, peppers, sweet onions, tomatoes and feta. It was delicious!

This was very good! I doubled the recipe, and used 2/5 whole wheat flour, and 3/5 AP flour. I poured 1 bottle of beer (Blue Moon’s Honeymoon) in a 2 cup measuring cup then topped it off with water, and heated to 110 degrees. I made a large (Pampered Chef’s bar pan) and a smaller round (Pampered Chef’s smaller round pizza stone) crust. I also rolled it out then let it rest/rise another 15-20 minutes before finishing and baking. It was a very good wheat flavor.

I switched whole wheat flour to make a healthier pizza crust and it turned out beautifully! Topped with some Chorizo slices and sauteed onions and greed chillies! Great Pizza…
