Great way to make a meal out of a little leftover ham or roast pork. It tastes good and best of all, doesn’t heat up the kitchen.
Slice bread lengthwise and spread mustard evenly over both halves. Layer the meat, pickles and cheese on the bottom half. Place the top half on the bread. Heat either a sandwich press, a cast iron pan or your George Foreman grill up (I use a George Foreman grill). Put the sandwich on the grill and close it up. Let it cook until the bread is browned and the cheese is melted. (I warm the ham and pork up first before layering it on the bread just to give it a head start.)
Cut on the diagonal and serve with a nice fruit cup or salad for a complete easy meal. And best of all, you don’t have to heat the kitchen up to cook during the summer months.
