This is perfect for those who love a good, hearty gumbo but can’t eat seafood due to an allergy or just don’t really care for it.
Slightly brown the sausage and add to slow cooker. Add all the other items to slow cooker except okra and hot sauce. Stir to combine. Cover and cook on low 8 hours, stirring often.
Stir in okra and hot sauce. Cook 20 minutes longer. Serve over cooked rice.
