This is what I call a “pantry meal”—a dish made up of items you would have in your pantry. It is very easy and fast to put together. Not to mention it is SO GOOD!
Start by placing the onions, mushrooms and margarine into a small pan to saute until tender.
Next mix together the chicken, sour cream, soup, milk and salt and pepper to taste. Add in the cooked onion and mushrooms. Stir well until coated. Pour into your crock pot.
Cook on High for 4 hours. At the last 45 minutes of cooking, add in the cream cheese that has been cubed.
To serve, place cooked rice onto a plate and top with the hot chicken mixture.
Note: you may also replace the rice with cooked pasta noodles.

This sounds wonderful. With sour cream and cream cheese, how could it fail?
