A cleaned up version of an American classic! This sloppy joe is refined-sugar-free and made from whole food ingredients. Best news: it’s delicious!
Heat a large skillet over medium high heat. Add oil and carrot, celery and red pepper to pan. Cook and stir until veggies are softened, about 5 minutes.
Add ground beef, steak seasoning, and honey to pan and combine. When meat has browned, add vinegar, tomato sauce, and tomato paste. Reduce heat to medium and cook mixture 15–20 minutes, or until desired consistency.
Serve on toasted whole wheat buns.
