A quick and healthy meal with a ton of flavor!
Saute the peppers and onions in a pan over medium high heat with a little bit of olive oil and salt and pepper. When the vegetables are cooked, but still crisp, add in the chicken sausage. It’s pre-cooked so you just have to heat it with the vegetables.
While the vegetables are cooking, place cheese slices on the buns and broil until cheese is melted and slightly browned. Fill the roll with the sausage/veggie mixture and enjoy!
Makes 2-4 rolls, stuffed full. This recipe is heavy on the veggies, and light on the sausage. Adjust ingredient amounts according to taste and number of servings you want.
