This recipe has it all: meat, veggies and bread! Enjoy this quick and easy way to make chicken & dumplings. It’s sure to be a hit with the entire family!

Ingredients

  • ½ cups Butter, Divided In Half
  • 1 cup Celery, Chopped
  • 1 cup Carrots, Chopped
  • ½ cups Onion, Chopped
  • 1-½ teaspoon Salt
  • ½ teaspoons Garlic Powder
  • 1-½ teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 cup Peas, Fresh Or Frozen
  • 1 cup Corn, Fresh Or Frozen
  • 1 cup Green Beans, Fresh Or Frozen
  • ⅔ cups Flour
  • 4 cups Chicken Broth
  • ½ cups Whipping Cream
  • 5 cups Cooked Chicken
  • 3 cups Bisquick
  • 1 cup Milk

Preparation

Grease a 9 x 13 baking dish and preheat oven to 400 degrees.

In a large skillet, melt 1/4 cup butter over medium-high heat. Add celery, carrots and onion along with salt , garlic powder and pepper. Cook for 5 to 6 minutes. Stir in peas, corn and green beans; set aside.

In large saucepan, melt the remaining 1/4 cup of butter. Add flour and cook, stirring constantly for 2 minutes. Add chicken broth and cream, whisking until smooth. Cook, stirring constantly, for 3 to 4 minutes or until thickened. Add the cooked chicken and the veggie mixture.

Spoon into the baking dish.

In a bowl, combine milk and Bisquick. Drop by heaping tablespoonfuls onto the cobbler.

Bake for 18 to 23 minutes, until brown.

This was so yummy! The only thing I will change next time is the amount of pepper. It was a little to0 spicy for us.
