Description

This so easy and is great for company or family gatherings. It is a main dish and side dish in one. Just add a vegetable and your meal is complete.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Long Grain White Rice
  • 1 can (10.75 Oz. Can) Cream Of Mushroom Soup
  • 1 can (10.75 Oz. Can) Cream Of Chicken Soup
  • 1 can (1o.5 Oz. Can) Beef Consomme
  • 1 package (1 Oz. Packet) Dry Onion Soup Mix
  • 1-½ cup Water
  • 8 pieces Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts
  • Salt And Pepper

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Spray a 9 x 13 inch pan with nonstick cooking spray.

Mix together rice, soups and water and pour into prepared pan. Cover tightly with foil and bake 1 hour.

Remove rice from oven and carefully remove foil. Lay chicken pieces on top and season with salt and pepper.

Replace foil cover and continue baking for 30-35 minutes until chicken is done.

You add all the soups at the same time, including the dry onion soup and the consomme.

When do you add the Beef Consomme and Onion Soup Mix?

The rice is not cooked before adding it to the soups. It is just the raw grain.

Is the rice cooked before mixing with the soups? or is it dry rice? Looks delish!! :)

This recipe is equally yummy using the fat free versions of the cream of mushroom and cream of chicken soups!

Very easy and quick dinner for a weeknight. I made this last night and it was very yummy. I even added some mozzarella at the end because cheese makes everything better :)
