Description

This is one of those recipes that are passed from generation to generation. The only description for this is “comfort food.”

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Cooked And Shredded Chicken
  • 20 ounces, weight Frozen Broccoli
  • 2 cans (10.75 Oz. Can) Cream Of Chicken
  • ½ cups Mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon Juice
  • Salt And Pepper
  • 1-½ cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 cup Buttered Bread Crumbs

Preparation

Mix the chicken, broccoli, cream of chicken, mayo and lemon juice. Pour into a 9×13 casserole dish. Season with salt and pepper. Top with the shredded cheese and then the buttered bread crumbs. Bake at 350ºF for 30 minutes.

This is almost the recipe I make for Chicken Divan, I use more mayo and no bread crumbs. But when my baby brother went to college, I had to overnight him 3 frozen bundles of this. TG I worked for the shipping co, he was homesick for my cooking and this is his very favorite, he has had me give this recipe to his girlfriend and they make it all the time for her family!! But he loves the cheese on top when it is lightly browned, over the breadcrumbs, and I think mine has 1 cup of mayo, made the mistake once of using miracle whip, eewwww, never again, use Kraft.

Sorry Tiffany…it’s just bread crumbs with enough melted butter to make them moist. Hope that helps!
