The secret to these noodles is the chicken bouillon. Another little trick passed from mother to daughter.
1. Bring 4 quarts water to a full rolling boil. Add a pinch of salt to water if desired (I don’t always). Meanwhile, cut up butter into tablespoons according to wrapper guides. Place on a plate with chicken bouillon, salt and pepper.
2. Add pasta and boil for 10-15 minutes. Bite a noodle every few minutes after the initial 10 minutes to get the firmness you want.
3. Drain pasta and return to pot. Add and stir in other ingredients with a spatula, wooden spoon or almost any stirring implement you’ve got handy. It may take about 5 minutes for everything to distribute evenly.
4. Eat. It’s great alongside almost any main course dish you can think of.
