Description

A juicy burger with spinach served on an English muffin. What’s not to love?

Ingredients

  • 1 slice Bread
  • 1 pound Lean Ground Beef
  • 10 ounces, weight Frozen Chopped Spinach, Thawed And Drained
  • 1 whole Large Or Extra Large Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 Tablespoon Grated White Onion (can Use Up To 1/4 C.)
  • 6 slices Part Skim Mozzarella Cheese
  • 6 whole English Muffins Split

Preparation

Preheat broiler. Into a bowl, tear bread into small pieces and add ground beef and remaining ingredients except cheese and English muffins. Mix thoroughly, but do not overmix or meat may toughen. Shape mixture into 6 round patties. Place on a broiling pan.

Broil burgers for about 5 minutes on each side, or until desired doneness. Just before patties are done, place a slice of mozzarella on each meat patty. Broil about 1 minute longer until cheese melts.

While meat is cooking, toast muffins and keep warm.

Serve patties on English muffins.
