Description

Quick and easy spice rubbed salmon. This spice rub would also be delicious on other kinds of fish, or maybe even chicken!

Ingredients

  • 2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons Paprika
  • 2 teaspoons Sea Salt
  • 2 teaspoons Black Pepper
  • ½ teaspoons Garlic Powder
  • ¼ teaspoons Cumin
  • ¼ teaspoons Coriander
  • ¼ teaspoons Cayenne Pepper
  • 2 pieces Salmon
  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350ºF.

Combine the spices (sugar, paprika, salt, pepper, garlic powder, cumin, coriander, and cayenne pepper) to make the spice rub.

Dry salmon with paper towels. Cover both sides of the fillet with spice rub, pressing the seasoning into the meat.

Heat oil in an oven-safe skillet on medium high heat. Place the salmon into the pan, searing for 1-2 minutes on each side.

Place the skillet into the 350ºF oven for 3-4 minutes, or until the meat flakes with a fork.
