Fresh blackberries and basil with ooey, gooey cheese? Yes please!
Butter one side of your bread slices, then set aside. In a large bowl, smash the blackberries with a fork and then stir in the basil.
Warm a skillet over medium-low heat. Place half of the slices of bread in the skillet, butter side down. Add a thin layer of cheese on top of each slice of bread. Spread with 2 tablespoons of the blackberry mixture, then another thin layer of cheese. Top with remaining bread slices.
Toast in skillet, about 3-5 minutes per side, until the bread is golden brown and the cheese melted. Enjoy!
