A great restaurant-quality dish that only requires one pan!
Heat skillet on medium heat with oil. Pound out chicken breasts to about same thickness to help the chicken cook evenly. Salt and pepper the chicken on each side. Place chicken breasts in oil to cook for about 5 minutes on each side or until juices run clear, depending on thickness. Set aside on paper towel when done and keep in a warm place.
Cut bacon strips in half and place in same skillet to fry. Once done, place them on paper towels. Keep the bacon grease in the skillet (you can remove some if it’s too much for you) and add chopped onion and brown sugar. Cook until onion is golden and everything has incorporated.
Place 2 half strips (1 full strip) on top of each chicken breast, spoon some of onion mixture on top of bacon, then top with some cheddar cheese. Microwave for a few seconds until melted.

Very tasty! I’m not much for all the bacon grease so I used a slotted spoon to put the glazed onions on to the chicken. This is definitely a remake for our house!! Thanks!

Made this last night and it was delicious. My husband does not like onions at all but he loved this dish. Will definitely go in my recipe box to be tried again.

Great recipes… the onions and brown sugar create such a yummy sauce. I will make this again!
