Quick and easy casserole. It’s great warmed up the next day!
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Spray a 9×13 inch casserole dish with cooking spray.
Peel and cook potatoes (boil or bake them) and then mash them (or you can buy the frozen potatoes – the steam and mash kind. This is what I do – so just follow preparation instructions on the package).
Brown hamburger meat. Add chopped onion and brown as well. Add seasoning to hamburger mixture and cook until meat is fully cooked. Drain grease. Open the two cans of green beans and drain juice. Add green beans, pasta sauce, and hamburger meat mixture to casserole dish and stir together. Add more seasoning if desired. Cover the top of the mixture with the mashed potatoes. Cover the mashed potatoes with the shredded cheese (I use Monterrey Jack blend). Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until cheese is melted and getting crispy.
Let cool approximately 10 minutes prior to serving.
