It is made from rib-eye steaks, and it is not a fast cooking steak, but tender? Yum. In fact, when my son was home, he requested it often.
Bring steaks to room temperature. Then beat the steaks with a kitchen mallet until desired thickness.
Season steaks with Mrs. Dash and pepper. Then dredge with flour.
Add oil in a skillet and turn burner to medium to medium high. Brown steaks for 5 minutes, flip, and brown the other side. Drain oil and set steaks aside.
In a cup, add granulated beef bouillon and water. Stir. Pour into the skillet, along with the steaks. When broth starts to bubble, turn burner down to low, just simmering. Simmer for 3 hours, adding more broth if needed. After steaks cook, set aside.
Mix water and flour and pour into the broth to make the gravy. Put steaks back in skillet and let them simmer for a few minutes.
Serve with mashed potatoes, and veggie of your choice. I don’t have a photo of my steak, but it is delicious. This is not a fast meal, but it is very yummy!
