Description

The perfect cookie! Buttery and chewy on the inside and crispy on the outside. Lots of chocolate chips!

Ingredients

  • ½ cups Butter, Softened
  • ½ cups Granulated Sugar
  • ¼ cups Brown Sugar
  • 1 whole Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 1 cup All-purpose Flour
  • ½ teaspoons Baking Soda
  • ¼ teaspoons Salt
  • 1 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

Preparation

In the bowl of a stand mixer, blend the butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Add in the egg and vanilla and blend well. Slowly add in the flour, baking soda and salt, blend until combined. Stir in the chocolate chips. I put my dough in the fridge for 20 minutes to chill.

Preheat your oven to 350ºF. Line your cookie sheets with Silpat mats or parchment.

When you are ready, spoon by the tablespoonful onto the prepared sheets and bake for 8-10 minutes until the bottoms are lightly browned. Remove them to a wire rack to cool completely.

The flavor of these cookies is excellent! My cookies were flat, and needed to bake for quite a bit longer in order to be done.

These are the best cookies! I love that prep is quick and easy – in my house full of boys, cookies have to be ready fast! Thanks for posting!

These were really tasty! I love the fact that it only made 24 cookies (most recipes are really large) and I used mini chips instead of the regular ones. I have to agree with perhaps a tad bit less butter but the next batch I make I’m going to see if it can be made into a roll so I can make Slice and Bake cookies from the freezer.

Delicious cookies! I used a mixture of peanut butter chips and milk chocolate chips and they turned out very well :)
