Description

Soft vanilla cupcakes decorated to look like your favorite Minions. Perfect for birthday parties!

Ingredients

  • FOR THE CUPCAKES:
  • 1 box (about 18 Oz. Size) Yellow Or White Cake Mix
  • Additional Required Ingredients Specified In Mix Package (typically Water, Eggs And Oil)
  • FOR THE FROSTING:
  • 2 sticks Butter
  • 4 cups Powdered Sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla
  • 3 Tablespoons Whole Milk
  • FOR DECORATING:
  • 6 ounces, weight White Fondant
  • 3 drops Blue Gel Food Coloring
  • Black Decorating Icing
  • 3 cups Yellow Candy Melts
  • 4 teaspoons Coconut Oil
  • 24 whole Oreo Cookies

Preparation

Bake cupcakes according to package directions (you’ll typically need water, eggs, and oil, as directed in mix package). Cool completely.

For the frosting, in a large bowl beat butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla. Add milk as needed until you reach your desired consistency. Spread or pipe frosting onto cupcakes.

Using powdered sugar and wax paper, roll fondant out to be about ¼ inch thick. Cut out circles using the end of an icing tip. Place a dot in the center for the pupils using black icing.

In a medium microwave safe bowl, melt candy melts and coconut oil until smooth. Dip oreos into candy melts. Top each oreo with one or 2 eyes. Place on wax paper until set.

Use black icing to add goggles or hair to the Minions. Place a cookie on top of each cupcake.
