Very yummy! next time I might swirl the crumbs into the batter with a knife. They stayed dry and crumbly on the top.

This was so, so good!!! I used fresh ground hard white wheat and it worked perfectly. I don’t usually keep buttermilk on hand, but I always have milk kefir so I used that and it was perfection! Thank you for a great recipe!

I substituted melted butter for the oil and it turned out moist and delicious! This recipe is a keeper.

This is fantastic!! I can’t wait for my husband to come home to try it too. I cut the recipe in half because it is just me and my husband in the house. This is one of the best crumb coffeecakes I made and I made a lot. I don’t like dense cake and this one is just great. It is soft , and moist. Thank you for sharing your mom’s coffeecake. Hmmm….mmmm delish.

Maybe I shouldn’t bake in the morning because first I added the cinnamon with the rest of the dry ingredients and then I forgot to add the baking soda. Hah hah! I will say that even after all my blunders it was still excellent, just a little dense!
