Description

A twist on the Classic French crepes made with Nutella and fresh berries

Ingredients

  • FOR THE CREPES:
  • 3 whole Eggs
  • 1-½ cup All-purpose Flour
  • ¾ cups Water
  • ¾ cups Milk
  • ¼ teaspoons Salt
  • 3 Tablespoons Melted Butter Or Margarine
  • FOR THE ASSEMBLY:
  • 2 cups Diced Fresh Strawberries
  • 2 Tablespoons Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Water
  • ½ cups Nutella

Preparation

For the crepes:
In a mixing bowl, lightly whisk the eggs, then add the flour and combine. Add the water and milk and mix until smooth. Add salt and melted butter and mix until smooth.

On medium heat place a non-stick sauté pan (we use a 10″ pan) sprayed lightly with cooking spray.

Once pan is heated place about 4 ounces of the batter mixture into the center of the pan and rotate and tilt the pan to evenly distribute the batter. Cook for about 2 minutes until edge of crepe lifts of the pan. Flip it over and continue to cook for another minute. Remove crepe from pan and place it on a plate. Continue cooking crepes until all of the batter is gone.

For the assembly: Take the diced strawberries, sugar and water and mix in a medium bowl.

Spread Nutella on one side of a crepe and sprinkle 2 tablespoons of the strawberries on top of the Nutella. Fold crepe in thirds and place on a plate. Add more strawberries on top. You can drizzle chocolate syrup on top to make it look even more yummy! Repeat and serve.

Note: See related blog link for a Bananas Foster filling to use with the crepes.
