Description

A wholesome and tasty way to start the day. These whole wheat waffles are vegan and topped with a favorite combo, strawberry banana.

Ingredients

  • ¾ cups Whole Wheat Flour
  • ½ cups Rolled Oats
  • ½ teaspoons Baking Powder
  • ½ teaspoons Baking Soda
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoons Ground Allspice
  • ¾ cups Water
  • 1 Tablespoon Vanilla Extract
  • 2 Tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • For Topping: Sliced Strawberries And Bananas, Honey For Drizzling

Preparation

In a medium bowl, combine whole wheat flour, rolled oats, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and allspice. Whisk in water slowly, until the batter is at the desired consistency. Add vanilla and olive oil. Whisk.

Preheat your waffle maker according to manufacturer’s instructions. Pour some batter into the hot waffle iron and cook according to the manufacturer’s instructions. When done remove the waffle onto a plate and repeat with remaining batter.

Top with fresh sliced strawberries, sliced bananas and drizzled honey

Serving suggestions: Serve with a eggs for a complete breakfast. Don’t forget your favorite morning beverage. Coffee? Tea?
