Description

Crispy French toast filled with peanut butter and marshmallow creme. Two childhood favorites combine for one easy, kid-pleasing breakfast!

Ingredients

  • 16 slices Bread, Such As Hawaiian Or Breakfast Bread
  • 16 Tablespoons Peanut Butter
  • 8 Tablespoons Marshmallow Creme
  • 2  Eggs
  • ¼ cups Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • Butter Or Nonstick Spray, Or A Combination Of Both
  • Banana Or Strawberry Slices, To Serve (optional)
  • Warm Maple Syrup, To Serve (optional)

Preparation

Spread half of the slices of bread with 2 tablespoons peanut butter each. On the remaining slices, spread 1 tablespoon marshmallow crème (you can add a little more if you like, but it’s very sweet). Assemble the sandwiches by pairing a peanut butter side with a marshmallow side.

Beat eggs in a small bowl. Mix in milk and vanilla.

Melt a teaspoon or so of butter in a skillet over medium heat. You can use more butter for grilling, or use nonstick spray to make up the difference.

Dip each sandwich in the egg mixture, allowing the excess to drip off. Grill sandwiches on each side 1–2 minutes until golden brown and filling is hot.

Serve with banana or strawberry slices and hot maple syrup, if desired.
