Description

Easy Chai Spiced Baked French Toast drizzled with homemade caramel sauce is fragrant, warm, and the perfect way to begin your fall mornings.

Ingredients

  • 6  Eggs
  • ¾ cups Almond Milk (or Milk Of Choice)
  • ½ cups Chai Tea Latte Concentrate
  • 1 Tablespoon Vanilla
  • ¼ teaspoons Salt
  • 1 loaf Brioche, Cut Into Slices
  • ⅓ cups Sliced Almonds
  • Powdered Sugar And Fresh Berries, For Topping
  • FOR THE CARAMEL SAUCE:
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar
  • ½ cups Butter
  • ¼ cups Milk Or Cream

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350ºF. Lightly butter an 8 x 8-inch baking pan and set aside.

In a large mixing bowl, beat eggs, milk, chai concentrate, vanilla, and salt until well combined. Soak all of the brioche slices in the egg mixture for 5 minutes.

Arrange brioche slices in greased baking pan. Pour any remaining egg mixture over bread slices. Sprinkle with sliced almonds.

Bake 40–45 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool 10 minutes before dusting with powdered sugar. Top with fresh berries and homemade caramel sauce. Enjoy!

To make the caramel sauce, bring brown sugar and butter to a boil. After about 5 minutes, remove from heat and stir in milk or cream. Let cool slightly, before pouring into a jar. Set aside until ready to use. Store in refrigerator.
