I made this dish often when my son was young and I was working. It’s so easy and it’s all in one and he loved it. Very kid friendly food but adults enjoy it too.
Lightly spray a 13 x 9 baking dish with non-stick spray.
Lay the tater tots single layer and up sides if necessary (I have a 15 x 10 baking dish I use, then they all lay flat on the bottom) and season with a bit of salt and pepper.
Season the chops as you like and brown on both sides – and then set aside.
Layer the drained green beans on top of the tater tots. Then place the pork chops on top of the beans.
In a saucepan, mix the soup and sour cream and heat till nice and smooth. Pour over the top of the casserole. I bake this covered for about 30 minutes at 350, then remove cover and bake for about 15 minutes more.
The nice thing about this dish is you can actually make as many pork chops as you want that will fit into the pan in a single layer. When my son had sleep overs I would make this and would have done 12 chops.
Also, feel free to season this as you like. I have used cayenne, garlic pepper, pepper flakes, onion powder….. many different spices. You can even double the sauce if you like lots of sauce. Have fun with this dish. You can even sprinkle some french fried onions on top.
