Description

Although this easy dish can be made using frozen bread dough, I recommend a simple homemade crust.

Ingredients

  • FOR THE CRUST:
  • 3 cups Better For Bread Flour
  • 1 Tablespoon (2 Packets) Quick-rise Yeast
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ½ teaspoons Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Vegetable Oil
  • 8 ounces, fluid Lukewarm Water

  • FOR THE ASSEMBLY:
  • 2 cups Shredded Cheese, your choice
  • 1 cup Veggies (your Choice)
  • 1 pound Cooked Meat (your Choice)
  • 1 jar Pizza Sauce (16 Ounce)

Preparation

This is one of our FAVORITE go-to meals because it’s so easy and so adaptable to different tastes! Sometimes we use pepperoni, onions, and mozzarella. Other times we use ground hamburger, jalapenos, green peppers, and cheddar. The choices are endless!

Combine the crust dry ingredients. Add oil and water. Knead by hand 3 minutes; shape into a ball. Cover and let rise until doubled in size. Punch down.

On lightly floured surface, roll out dough into a large rectangle. Place fillings down the middle of the dough. Fold in the short ends, then fold the longer ends over the filling. Pinch to seal. Bake at 350 degrees (F) for 30 minutes or until lightly browned. Slice and top with spaghetti sauce. Serves 6-8.

Nutrition varies. For a lighter meal, choose reduced fat cheeses and meats like ground turkey or turkey pepperoni..or omit the meat altogether! This can easily be made into a vegetarian meal.
