This chicken is a long time family favorite. The herbs in the sauce give it perfect flavor and the slow cooker makes the chicken so tender it just falls apart. This is one of my favorite slow cooker recipes!
In a bowl, combine the flour, sage, basil and seasoned salt. Coat each breast in the flour mixture and reserve remaining flour. In a large skillet, melt butter; brown the chicken on all sides. Transfer to a slow cooker. Add 1/4 cup reserved flour mixture to the skillet and stir into butter until smooth. When the mixture begins to bubble, stir in the chicken broth and bring to a boil. Boil for 1 minute. Pour over the chicken. Cover and cook on high for 2-2 1/2 hours or on low for 4 hours. Serve over rice.

Loved, loved, loved this recipe! The second time I made it, my sis-in-law ate with us and she asked if it would be inappropriate for her to lick her plate….it’s just that good. We serve over rice and with carrots because the gravy is awesome on the carrots too. Thanks so much, we’ll be having this regularly!

I’ve been collecting crockpot recipes with the intent of being more organized and less busy in the evenings. This sounds great!
