This stroganoff has a different twist and is absolutely delicious and easy to prepare.
If using the brandy option, put the meat in a bowl and pour the brandy over it. Stir the meat in the brandy and cover and put in the refrigerator for 20 min. Mix salt and pepper in with the flour in a bowl. Put in the cubed meat and toss to coat evenly. Brown the meat in butter or olive oil. Add onion and garlic and cook till softened. Put this mixture in a casserole dish. Mix the soup, sour cream and worcestershire sauce in a bowl till combined. Pour over the meat and stir. Bake at 325 for 1 hour. Serve over buttered egg noodles or rice. Note: I don’t do the brandy step but have deglazed the browning pan with some red wine and just poured that over the meat in the casserole. I usually do it without the brandy or the wine and think this still tastes great.
