This is a sinfully simple slow cooker recipe that pays homage to the well-known soda that was invented here in the Lone Star State. Even if you’re not a fan of the beverage, it’ll make you wanna holler “I’m a pepper!”
Place skinless, bone-in ham in slow cooker. (I usually use a 4 lb. ham for this, but if your crock pot is too petite for that size of a ham, feel free to use whatever size will work for you.) Add brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and Dr. Pepper to the slow cooker. Cook on the Low heat setting overnight (8 to 10 hours). Enjoy. Plan a trip to the Dr. Pepper Museum in Waco, Texas to celebrate your newfound appreciation for the sweet concoction.
