Description

A little sweet, a little spicy, and a great glaze for your next chops!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Fresh Orange Juice, (juice From 2 Oranges)
  • ¾ cups Fresh Lemon Juice Or Juice From 2 Lemons
  • ½ teaspoons Crushed Red Pepper Flakes, More Or Less To Taste
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Sea Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1-½ cup Smucker's Apricot Preserves
  • 4 pieces 1/2" Cut, Bone In Pork Chops

Preparation

Whisk the juice and spices into the preserves and coat yjr chops. Marinate for at least one hour. Let the pork come close to room temperature before grilling over low heat. Grill each side 12-15 minutes or until internal temperature reads 160F. Allow the pork to rest 10 minutes before serving.

This is, by far, the best marinade for pork! I actually buy a pork loin and then cut boneless pieces as thick as I want for the pork chops! Amazing flavor in the marinade — especially if you leave it on for a few hours!

Thanks for the recipe– these were tasty! I didn’t whisk the juice & spice into the preserves as much as I should have– I’ll try to get a better marinade next time. Love the simplicity and the flavor… it was great paired with roasted potatoes, asparagus and a cold beer.
