I came across these in a new “healthy” cookbook I bought. It’s in Hebrew so giving you the name of the book won’t help, but I promise to pass on the good recipes I use. These are a great idea for a meatless dinner. They are easy to make, very flavorful and even good for ya! My family gobbled them up!
1. Pour 1 1/4 cups of water into a pot, add the quinoa and bring to a boil. Cover, lower the heat, and cook for 15 minutes. Transfer to a bowl and add all the other ingredients..Season with salt and pepper.
2. Form 20 patties ( be sure your hands are slightly wet- it helps to form the patties tightly).
3. Heat the canola oil in a large Teflon pan on medium heat and saute the patties 2-3 minutes on each side until browned.
Serve warm or at room temperature. (We love them cold too!)

Made these a couple of months ago. They were so delicious! And you’re right, they taste great cold, straight out of the fridge. Thanks for the yummy recipe. =)

These were very tasty! I think next time I’ll saute the onion and carrot because it made my 2 y.o. really gassy.

Made these for dinner tonight and we LOVED them. I ended up using 3 carrots and a smallish zucchini which I sauteed prior to adding them to the quinoa which helped to remove some of the moisture from the veggies. We also added a couple more tablespoons of bread crumbs.

I made these the other night, but I couldn’t get them to stay together. It was really liquidy so I squeezed all the juicyness out before I sauteed them – they ended up crumbling when I flipped them, so eventually I just gave up and made crumbley bits… however, it was delicious. Both warm and cold.
has anyone else had this problem? if so, how did you fix it?

I made these tonight and they were great! Funny thing was my daughter who usually loves quinoa wasn’t in love with them like my daughter who doesn’t normally dig quinoa — go figure!!! They were awesome and we have leftovers which is a true bonus for me and the hubby. Thank you for a meat-less meal!
